Hanoi promotes cooperation with French localities in many fields

(CPV) - Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh received French Ambassador Nicolas Warnery on September 27 in the capital.

At the reception, the Chairman also expressed his delight at growing relations between the two countries. He proposed the two sides deepen their ties toward effectiveness and practical outcomes in the coming time, especialy in the fields of urban planning, heritage conservation, sustainable development, and public transport.
The Chairman affirmed that Hanoi is ready to support and create favorable conditions for the French Embassy in Vietnam to organize cultural and economic exchanges in the capital in 2023.
French Ambassador Nicolas Warnery said that the relationship between the two countries as well as between Hanoi and French localities have been developing strongly in recent time.
According to the Ambassador, the two sides will promote cooperation in ongoing urban projects and upcoming cooperation plans, especially celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-France diplomatic relations in 2023.
France is ready to assist Hanoi in organising cultural promotion events and developing wholesale markets, and other areas which France has experience, he added./.
