Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival attracts more than 20,000 visitors

The event had nearly 80 booths with spaces to introduce culinary gift products of 36 streets of Hanoi; spaces to perform, display and introduce unique handicraft gift products of famous craft villages and tourism products in the city; space to experience craft villages; miniature landscape space for visitors to check-in along with street performances.

Tourists highly appreciated Hanoi cuisine introduced at the program such as Thanh Tri rice rolls, Vong village green rice, Me Tri green rice and other village cuisines.

During the three days of the event, the public also enjoyed folk music and culinary workshops such as Coffee Making Workshop, Bartender Workshop and Folk Painting Workshop.

These activities attracted the participation of a large number of people in the capital and tourists. According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Tourism, more than 20,000 visitors visited the three-day festival.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that the festival’s activities closely followed the theme “Hanoi Gifts” which created attraction and interest for tourists. Numerous domestic and international tourists came to the event to learn and explore the cultural story of Hanoi behind each gift.

The festival has contributed to strengthening tourism and cultural connections, preserving, honoring and promoting the unique values of cultural heritages, traditional crafts and culinary quintessence, packaged into gifts to link with tourism development./.
