Co.op Food chain reaches over 400 stores

After more than 10 years in the Vietnam retail market, Co.op Food chain of the Saigon Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) has 403 stores after launching four new stores in Can Tho, Binh Duong, Long An and Hanoi.

Co.op Food is considered one of the mini supermarket models fully specialized in convenience food with a clear long-term development strategy.

Each supermarket covers 200-250 square meters with 8,000-10,000 commodities on display, among the list of more than 30,000 commodities of Saigon Co.op. These items are often selected to suit the needs of consumers in each region.

The main strength of Co.op Food chain is fresh food items including fish, vegetables, eggs, dairy products, fruits and especially pre-marinated prepared dishes.

In addition, it also sells technological foods, cosmetics, utensils and garments, featuring Vietnamese high-quality products and those to stabilize market prices.

Each year, Saigon Co.op puts from 30 to over 50 Co.op Food stores into operation. Currently, the union has a total 800 supermarkets, trade centers and stores nationwide./.
