Vietnam and RoK promotes IT cooperation in Ho Chi Minh city

The information technology cooperation center between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) will be an important link in promoting cooperation in information and technology between the two countries, contributing to enhancing investment cooperation among the two countries’ businesses.

The information technology cooperation center between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea and the Korean information technology services (KITS) made their debut on May 23rd in Ho Chi Minh city.

This was the second one established in Vietnam, after the one in Hanoi.

According to Kim Chang Yong, Head of the Korean National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), the opening of the second center in Vietnam shows the Korean Government’s efforts in supporting the two countries’ businesses increasing cooperation in information communications and technology (ICT).

The center will assist Korean ICT businesses in working locations and cooperative programs on investing in the areas of E-government, smart training, smart city, smart healthcare, smart businesses, and smart traffic.

In the future, the Korean Government will carry out special support programs to contribute to developing the IT industry and the ICT start-up environment in Vietnam./.
