COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ho Chi Minh City

With the determination to fight the COVID-19 epidemic, Ho Chi Minh City is trying to reduce the number of infections, and deploying vaccination to achieve herd immunity by the end of August.

From March 8 to June 30, Ho Chi Minh City organized 4 vaccination phases with a total of 923,050 doses allocated. At the end of the 4th phase, the city used 991,872 injections.
During the 5th round of vaccination (from July 20 to August 9), the city continued to organize vaccination with a total of 3,187,990 doses of vaccines allocated. As of 12 a.m. on August 9, the city used a total of 2,439,118 injections.
The remaining 913,204 doses have been distributed to vaccination units to deploy in the 6th phase of vaccination.

 

During social distancing, Ho Chi Minh City has deployed mobile vaccination teams to reach vaccinated people.
In phase 5 and 6, the whole city administered 3,291,872, bringing to total number of administered doses to more than 4.3 million people vaccinated, of which more than 100,000 people have received 2 shots.
