Bac Kan promotes cooperation in some fields with Japanese region

The delegation of Bac Kan province led by Ms. Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, paid an official visit to study and learn from some production models and machinery techniques in Fukuoka, Japan.

During the program, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Oita prefecture Mr. Yoshida Kazunari, and had a working session with the prefecture’s leaders.
Accordingly, the two localities discussed strengths and potentials of cooperation. The Deputy Governor said that Oita prefecture signed a cooperation agreement with Quang Ngai province in April 2023 and wished to cooperate with Bac Kan province because the two localities have many similarities in geography and agro-forestry.
After that, the delegation visited a number of Japanese facilities such as Kabosu Honke Company that grow, process and package famous and long-standing lemon products in Oita prefecture; model of Onsen hot spring bath in Beppu Oita city, Kanda Bio Power Generating Plant and Green Hill Madoka Waste Treatment Area.
Within the framework of the business trip, the delegation visited and worked at the Vietnam Consulate General in Fukuoka. Ms. Phuong Thi Thanh thanked the Consulate General for enthusiastically supporting and arranging the working program of the delegation and hoped that the Consulate General would continue to pay attention to and help Bac Kan province connect and cooperate in many fields with Japan.
Consul General Vu Chi Mai affirmed that the Consulate General always accompanies localities in the country and will continue to be the focal point to connect and support cooperation with the Kyushu region./.
