During the meeting, Yan Jiehe highlighted the similarities in the political systems of Vietnam and China, which create favorable conditions for establishing cooperative models. He expressed readiness to engage in partnerships with flexible financial arrangements tailored to Hanoi's requirements and capacities.
Praising the business environment in Vietnam, the capabilities of private enterprises, and the significance of the Capital Law, he expressed confidence that these factors would enable “win-win” collaboration between the two sides.
He also expressed willingness to participate in Hanoi’s infrastructure projects and proposed ideas for improving the city’s infrastructure, such as constructing underground tunnels beneath the Red River to save costs, reduce land use and ease the burden of land clearance.
Chairman Tran Sy Thanh appreciated Yan Jiehe’s insights and emphasized the importance of cooperative relations in key potential projects, including the Tu Lien Bridge, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and Hanoi’s Metro Line 5. He expressed hope that these projects would be implemented promptly, adhere to schedules and meet the highest quality standards.
The Chairman also encouraged the delegation, particularly the Pacific Construction Group, to proactively seek investment opportunities and collaboration in other infrastructure projects across Hanoi.
He expressed optimism that the Pacific Construction Group’s initiatives in Hanoi would be highly successful, leaving a significant mark on the partnership between the capital city and the group. This would, in turn, strengthen trust between enterprises and entrepreneurs from both sides and contribute positively to the increasingly dynamic Vietnam-China relations.
During the meeting, both sides shared experiences and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, such as smart city frameworks and the design and management of modern urban areas./.
