Lam Dong donates USD1 million USD to Cuban province

The working visit took place in order to tighten the special friendship between Lam Dong province and Cuba, and seek information and survey opportunities for exchange and cooperation, especially in fields such as agricultural processing, high-tech agricultural development, and tourism business and management, which are the strengths of Lam Dong province.

In Matanzas province, the delegation of Lam Dong province gained a deep understanding of the local situation, thereby agreeing on the orientation and content of cooperation in the coming time between the two provinces. With the goal of creating a framework, orientation and identifying specific areas of cooperation, the two localities have agreed to sign a "Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period of 2023-2028".

Representatives from the Communist Party of Cuba highly appreciated Cuba's development potential and affirmed its readiness to create favorable conditions for Lam Dong and Matanzas provinces to implement concrete cooperation activities in a practical manner.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Tran Duc Quan, Secretary of the Lam Dong Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council donated USD1 million to support the purchase of medical equipment for the Emergency Center of the Faustino Pérez Hospital of Matanzas province and to provide computer and information technology equipment to the Ñico López Senior Party School.

In addition, to support Matanzas province in taking care of people's health, the delegation also donated a number of modern and traditional medicines produced by enterprises of Lam Dong province to Faustino Pérez Hospital./.
