Christina Le highlighted that people-to-people diplomacy is reflected through opportunities created for students of both countries and the establishment of a safe supply chain for small businesses in both nations. She expressed her pleasure in witnessing the continuous strong advancements in US-Vietnam relations. In 2025, which marks 30 years since the normalization of diplomatic relations between the US and Vietnam, the partnership between the two countries is at an all-time high. She also shared positive outcomes in the bilateral cooperation between the US and Vietnam in areas such as education, war aftermath remediation, trade, investment, and sustainable green economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Pham Xuan Hoang An, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-US Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City, noted the significant progress and solid advancements in US-Vietnam bilateral relations over the years, particularly with the elevation of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. “This leap forward opens up many opportunities for deeper cooperation in various fields such as trade, investment, science and technology, defense, security and people-to-people diplomacy,” he said. “This partnership underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering stronger US-Vietnam relations for the mutual benefit of their peoples, and for peace and stability in the region and the world.”

According to Pham Xuan Hoang An, building on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, Ho Chi Minh City prides itself on its close relationship with US cities such as San Francisco and New York. Cultural, economic and educational exchange programs between Ho Chi Minh City and US cities have enriched bilateral relations and brought practical benefits to both sides.

He showed his trust that both sides will continue to facilitate more cultural exchange activities, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and comprehensive cooperation between the peoples of the two countries, as well as promoting the strong development of US-Vietnam bilateral relations in the future./.
