The event is expected to attract around 2,000 participants, including representatives from government agencies, international guests, associations, and domestic and international businesses.
The conference will be organized by the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), as announced during a press briefing on November 26.
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, the conference is part of Hanoi’s efforts to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day 2024. It aims to promote digital transformation and guide the development of the capital city toward becoming smarter, more modern and sustainable.
The conference offers an opportunity for experience-sharing, collaboration and the development of smart cities among provinces and cities in Vietnam and across Asia. It will also showcase digital products and services to support smart city development, promote the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and other innovative technologies.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang, Vice President and Secretary-General of VINASA, highlighted that the Ministry of Construction will introduce a set of criteria for smart cities. Additionally, VINASA will present smart city awards to deserving units, organizations and enterprises.
With the theme "Smart Cities - Digital Economy - Sustainable Development," the conference will feature specialized discussion sessions, technology demonstrations, exhibitions of outstanding smart urban projects, and collaboration opportunities.
The exhibition will host approximately 30 booths showcasing solutions, facilitating partnerships, and fostering business connections between enterprises./.
