In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, in the presence of the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, martyrs and national heroes, representatives of the Women’s Unions delivered a speech commemorating the enduring Vietnam-Laos relationship. This bond, deeply rooted in history, was established by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and nurtured by generations of leaders from both Parties, States and peoples.
During the struggle for national independence, the women of Vietnam and Laos, particularly from Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan, stood side by side, supporting one another through challenges.
Building on this illustrious tradition, women from Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan have, in recent years, united in creativity, learning, labor and community service, achieving notable success in economic, cultural and social endeavors while fostering prosperous, equitable and happy families.
Progress in women's empowerment and gender equality has seen significant strides in both nations. The Women’s Unions of Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan are committed to further strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, the two provinces, and their respective Women’s Unions. They pledge to preserve and enhance this invaluable traditional bond, viewing it as an eternal and priceless asset for both nations.
On behalf of the delegations, Ms. Nheng Phet Bun Mi Xay and Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Hao, together with other representatives, laid wreaths, offered incense and expressed deep gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, martyrs and national heroes to the cause of national liberation in Vietnam and Laos./.
