In the coming time, to promote economic, trade and investment relations commensurate with the development momentum of relations between the two countries, the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) of the US hopes that the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Public Security will continue to pay attention to creating favorable conditions for US businesses to make stable and long-term investments in Vietnam.

So said ITI President Jason Oxman when he led a delegation to visit Vietnam and was received by Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang in Hanoi on June 17.

Welcoming the delegation to Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang highlighted the active development of the Vietnam – US relationship, especially the upgrade of the bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership on the occasion of the visit to Vietnam by US President Joe Biden. “Economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the US continues to be a bright spot and an important pillar, being the main motivation for promoting the bilateral relations,” he said.

Therefore, the ITI, as a prestigious and influential organization in the US and a gathering of world leading companies in information and communications technology, should continue to enhance its role as a bridge between the two countries' governments and businesses, in order to further promote economic, trade and investment cooperation, particularly investment by top information technology firms of the US in Vietnam, according to Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang.

Noting that the ITI currently has more than 80 member businesses, all of which are leading US enterprises in industry and high technology, ITI President Jason Oxman said the ITI looks to gain deeper insights into Vietnam's investment environment and policies, for being a bridge to further promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

He asserted that the ITI desired to continue working closely with relevant units in the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in policy consultation, cooperation to improve capacity, and exchange of information and experiences and other fields of mutual interest./.
