Overseas Vietnamese and delegates visit soldiers and people on Truong Sa Archipelago

The working delegation No.10 in 2018, led by Deputy Chairman of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Luong Thanh Nghi, finished a visit to soldiers and people on islands of Truong Sa Archipelago and DK1 frame-house from April 19th - 28th.
The delegation included overseas Vietnamese from 24 nations and territories, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese, Overseas Party Committee, Departments of Foreign Affairs of provinces
and cities, Naval High Command, Department of Traffic Police and Ministry of Public Security.
The delegate saluted the flag on Song Tu Tay island.
This is the 7th year the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese has organized an overseas Vietnamese
delegation to visit Truong Sa to meet their expectation and show gratitude to generations of Vietnamese people,
who have devoted themselves to the cause of building and protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation.

During the 10-day journey, the delegation visited Song Tu Tay, Da Nam, Da Thi, Son Ca, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Toc Tan A, Phan Vinh, Da Dong B and Truong Sa islands.

camera, clothes, food and over VND600 million in cash to islands

A garden of soldiers on big Truong Sa island. After the journey, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese launched a movement to raise funds to support “For the homeland’s sea and islands” to build a multi-purpose cultural house
with distinct landmark of overseas Vietnamese, contributing to affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa archipelago.
