Vietnamese Embassy in Czech Republic receives registrations of Vietnamese citizens to return home

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic has issued a notice of receiving registrations of Vietnamese citizens living in the Czech Republic who desire to return home amid the complicated development of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vietnamese Embassy has sent registration forms to the Overseas Vietnamese Association, and the Vietnamese Student and Youth Association in the Czech Republic, to coordinate to send the information to Vietnamese people living, studying or working in the Czech Republic.

The Embassy warned that the pandemic is currently developing complicatedly, travel at this time may cause risks of COVID-19 infection, so Vietnamese citizens in the Czech Republic wishing to return to the homeland should consider carefully. Besides, the notice also mentioned the overload of some isolation facilities in Vietnam, so it recommends that people should consider carefully before deciding to register to return home. The embassy recommends that citizens do not return home if they are able to continue to reside in the Czech Republic.

Due to the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic, many countries frequently change their rules on aviation immigration, medical checks, so travellers may be stuck at airports when connecting flights.

The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control will prioritize reception of citizens who are elderly, the sick, and children under 18 years old. 

If there is a need, citizens may register with the embassy via email: dsqvietnamcz@yahoo.com, in which they clearly state the circumstances, fully disclose information, health status to notify the Vietnamese authorities to consider arranging appropriate isolation areas to Vietnam's capabilities. Notely, citizens must bear all transport and travel expenses for themselves./.
