Australian state promotes cooperation with Vietnamese businesses and localities

Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam recently received Mr. Simon White, Chairman of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council in Queensland.

At the meeting, Mr. Simon White highly appreciated that the two countries had upgraded the relationship to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, considering this a basis for the two sides to continue to strengthen extensive cooperation in many fields.

Mr. Simon White emphasized that Queensland highly values Vietnam, the state's fifth largest export market, wishing to further promote cooperation with Vietnamese businesses and localities while increasing Australian businesses' awareness of Vietnam as an attractive new destination, especially for superannuation funds.

The Chairman of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council in Queensland also shared the state's need for skilled workers and cooperation opportunities in labor training.

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam highly appreciated the companionship and contributions of Mr. Simon White as well as the Australia-Vietnam Business Council in Queensland branch in trade and investment promotion between the two countries and between enterprises of Vietnam and Queensland state.

The Ambassador suggested that the council continue to cooperate and strengthen the connection between businesses of both sides, support Vietnam’s local delegations to Australia to promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest and strength such as agricultural labor, construction and green bonds./.
