Dak Lak province promotes overseas Vietnamese resources to build homeland

The Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in Dak Lak province has organized the 7th Open Executive Board Meeting, term 2021 – 2026 to review its operation in the first six months of 2024 and carry out tasks in the last six months of the year.

The report presented at the meeting said that in the first six months of 2024, the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in Dak Lak province has actively connected and mobilized overseas Vietnamese towards the homeland by contributing intelligence and resources to build the country.

The association also focuses on communicating and promoting achievements in building and protecting the fatherland and the results in foreign affairs of the country in general and localities in particular to overseas Vietnamese.

The association also strengthens the connection of overseas Vietnamese with the homeland through coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Dak Lak province to organize the Homeland Spring on the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024.

In the last six months of the year, the association will continue to implement Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW on August 12, 2021 by the Politburo on overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation and the Project "Developing resources of overseas Vietnamese to contribute to the development of Dak Lak province in the 2023 – 2027 period" by the Provincial People's Committee.

The association also focuses on communicating and mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to establish associations of overseas Vietnamese so that overseas Vietnamese in Dak Lak province become the core and pioneering force in implementing the guidelines and policies relating to overseas Vietnamese of the Party and State.

According to the report on the socio-economic development situation of Dak Lak province in 2023, the province has over 9,000 overseas Vietnamese living, studying and working in 29 countries and territories. Over the past 5 years, overseas Vietnamese have contributed more than 140 million USD to Dak Lak province./.
