According to VAUK Chairman Tang Tuan Tu, the tournament is an annual event organized by VAUK to unite the Vietnamese community across the UK, encourage sportsmanship in the community, and enhance the image of overseas Vietnamese in the host country.

The tournament attracted more than 200 players of 15 teams from all over the UK, including big cities such as London, Birmingham, Manchester and Portsmouth.

For the first time, the event had kid players competing in a tournament specifically for children with 4 teams participating in the final round.

With efforts to organize a children's tournament, VAUK wants to create a healthy and meaningful playground, helping to connect Vietnamese youth across the UK and build the national pride, encouraging the young generation of overseas Vietnamese in the UK to look towards their origins, share Mr. Tang Tuan Tu.

Immediately after the tournament, a Gala Dinner took place with the participation of Vietnamese associations, players and fans, creating an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese to exchange and connect.

At the Gala Dinner, VAUK raised funds with a total amount of 5,300 GBP (about 7,000 USD) through the auction of paintings and handicraft products donated by sponsors.

The proceeds will be put into the Study Promotion Fund for overseas Vietnamese children in the UK with excellent academic achievements./.
