The activity was held with support from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia.

Medicines worth at about 5,000 USD sponsored by the hospital were handed over to the patients free of charge, and aid packages comprising rice and cash raised by the Vietnamese Embassy.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang emphasized that the activity was held on the occasion of the 55th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties (June 24, 1967 – 2022).

He wished the local families a safe and joyous Chol Chnam Thmay (New Year) festival, which falls on April 14-16 this year.

Since its operations in 2014, the Cho Ray-Phnom Penh Hospital has organized various charitable activities to improve quality of public health care.

Over the past years, the hospital organized an average of four free health check programs annually, examining about 300 people each time.

In the coming time, the hospital will organize more charitable activities and blood donation campaigns./.
