According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent, at the event, more than 500 students studying international relations and other research branches watched documentaries about Vietnam's resounding Dien Bien Phu Victory, which helped lead to the collapse of the French colonial rule around the world. On July 21, 1954, France had to sign the Geneva Accords on ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina, which abolished the rule of France and recognized national independence of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

At the event, Ambassador Ly Duc Trung highlighted Vietnam's socio-economic achievements after nearly 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi (Renewal) policy. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country transformed from a war-torn nation to an attractive destination for foreign investors and tourists.

Trung also emphasized the similarities between the peoples of Vietnam and Israel. Vietnam is interested in Israel's knowledge and technology strengths, especially agricultural technologies, and wishes to further promote bilateral cooperation in these fields, he added./.
