Korean test for employees applying for EPS held from late November

The Korean language exam and skills test for workers who want to apply to work in the Republic of Korea (RoK) under the RoK’s Employment Permit System for foreign workers will take place for the second time in 2022 in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Center for Overseas Labor under Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, in Hanoi, workers will take the exam at the Training Facility of the Overseas Labor Center in Do Ha Village in Tien Phong Commune, Me Linh District, from November 28 to December 17, 2022.

In Da Nang, from November 29 to December 19, 2022, workers will take the exam at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology at No. 470 Tran Dai Nghia in Hoa Quy ward, Ngu Hanh Son district.

In Ho Chi Minh City, workers will take the exam at the College of Technology No. 2 at No. 502 Do Xuan Hop street in Phuoc Binh Ward, District 9.

The exam consists of two rounds. The first round will be a Korean multiple-choice test on computer, with a maximum score of 200 points. Workers who gain 110 points or above for the manufacturing industry, 80 points or more for the agriculture industry, and 60 points or more for the fishing industry, can participate in the second round of vocational skills testing. Vocational skills test will be held right after the end of the Korean language test in a shortened form to facilitate the workers.

The second round will test vocational skills, color sense, physical strength and physicality.

Workers, who will take the Korean exam in 2022 need to strictly follow the recommendations of the health authorities on COVID-19 prevention and control, and strictly adhere to wearing masks and disinfecting throughout the exam.

Workers have to report to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the city and must not attend the exam if workers have positive results for COVID-19; are under medical isolation; have a cold or flu, or have symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.

The Center for Overseas Labor will coordinate with the RoK’s Human Resource Development Agency to use technical measures to check and detect if workers bring mobile phones and transceivers into the examination room or have acts of swapping, changing people to take exams for them. Employees who commit cheating will have their test results canceled and will not be allowed to join Korean language exams for 4 years./.
