Outstanding individuals and groups in Vietnamese teaching in Czech Republic presented certificates of merit

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic on November 18 held a ceremony to award Certificates of Merit of the Head of the Vietnamese representative mission in the country to individuals and groups with excellent achievements in studying and teaching Vietnamese language and in preventing and fighting COVID-19 in 2021, 2022.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Thai Xuan Dung praised the second and third generations of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic for their efforts in studying well and achieving many successes in international, national and local cultural, art and sports competitions. He also thanked the parents for their interest in educating their children not only to ensure their own future and to honor the family, but also to enhance the position of the Vietnamese community and contribute to the local society.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the significant contributions of teachers in teaching Vietnamese language to children in the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. In addition to teaching Vietnamese language, the teachers at the center also impart more knowledge about Vietnamese culture and history, helping students understand their roots and become more attached to their homeland and country.
Awarding Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in supporting the COVID-19 prevention and control in Vietnam, the Ambassador appreciated and recognized the timely and meaningful contributions of the Vietnamese collectives and companies in the Czech Republic at a time when Vietnam was struggling against the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung, President of the Union of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in Europe Hoang Dinh Thang, and Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic Nguyen Duy Nhien, presented certificates of merit and rewards to 62 students, five Vietnamese teachers and six collectives for their excellent achievements in studying, teaching Vietnamese language and preventing and controlling COVID-19 in 2021 and 2022.
In addition, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic and Tamda Group also presented gifts to encourage individuals and groups, who were presented certificates of merit./.
