Overseas Vietnamese in Laos pay tribute to martyrs in Oudomxay

An incense-offering ceremony was held by a working group of Military Zone 2 under the Ministry of National Defense, and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Oudomxay province, in coordination with the local authority pay tribute to Vietnamese martyrs at the Laos-Vietnam Combat Alliance Monument in Oudomxay province, Laos.

The event, aiming to mark the 76th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), attracted the participation of a large number of overseas Vietnamese living and working in Oudomxay.

At the ceremony, the representative of the organizing committee said that the special friendship, faithful solidarity between Vietnam and Laos have been diligently cultivated by the two parties, two states, and two peoples over decades, especially in the revolution against the common enemy.

The dedication and sacrifice of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers are a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, expressing the burning desire to gain independence, freedom, and happiness for the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On June 26, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos in collaboration with the Lao Veterans Federation and related agencies held incense offering ceremonies to commemorate Vietnamese and Lao martyrs at the the Laos-Vietnam Combat Alliance Monument in Thoulakhom district, and the monument dedicated to Vietnamese martyrs in Kasy district of Vientiane province./.
