Speaking at the visit held on May 17, Ambassador Giang affirmed that this place has become a special relic, associated with an important period in President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, as well as the history of Vietnam-US relations. The Ambassador and the delegation reviewed the important milestones in his journey to seek ways for national salvation, including the time he lived and worked in New York and Boston.

The hotel's leadership introduced two types of cakes that have become trademarks "Boston Cream Pie" and "Parker House Rolls" that baker Nguyen Tat Thanh once made according to the recipe which is still used by the hotel today.

Mr. Giang highly appreciated that the hotel not only preserves but also effectively promotes the value of precious artifacts and documents, contributing to honoring Ho Chi Minh – Nguyen Ai Quoc, a prominent leader, national liberation hero and world cultural celebrity. The Vietnam Permanent Mission to the UN will continue to make efforts to find out and collect information and documents related to Uncle Ho during the time he lived and worked in New York and Boston.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Massachusetts and Boston authorities for supporting and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community, including overseas Vietnamese students, living, working and studying in the localities. They serve as a bridge to further tighten the friendly relationship between the people of Vietnam and the US.

Mr. John Murtha, General Director of Omni Parker House, presented the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN a book on the history of the hotel, in which President Ho Chi Minh is one of the most mentioned figures.

In the book titled “Heaven, By Hotel Standards” about the history of the Omni Parker House, the names Ho Chi Minh, Nguyen Sinh Cung, Nguyen Tat Thanh and “anh Ba” are mentioned many times./.
