For many years, the program for overseas Vietnamese to visit Truong Sa and DK1 frame house by the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Command of Navy has become a sea trip connecting millions of hearts around the world.

The yearbook summarizes the delegation’s activities in more than a dozen days with the ship KN-490 to the remote islands of the Truong Sa Archipelago and the DK1 frame house, located on the southern continental shelf of the country.

These are the boundless feelings of the members of the delegation to the sea and island of the homeland, the connection of overseas Vietnamese in 22 countries and territories around the world with officials, soldiers and people on Truong Sa Archipelago.

"During the visit to the Truong Sa Archipelago and DK1 frame house in 2016, I was extremely impressed by the exchange and connection between domestic delegates, overseas Vietnamese and the army and people on the archipelago. Whenever we have the opportunity to review those memories, especially the days of visiting the islands and exchange on board of the ship KN 490, I feel full of love," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, an overseas Vietnamese from the Slovak Republic.

On this occasion, the delegation also organized an online photo exhibition named "Truong Sa and the DK1 frame house in the hearts of overseas Vietnamese" with 30 photos mostly taken by amateur photographers.

The photos show three categories: vitality of Truong Sa - DK1 frame-house; determined to protect the country's sovereignty over the sea and islands; affection and responsibility of overseas Vietnamese to Truong Sa and DK1 frame house.

Overseas Vietnamese from many points around the world expressed their pleasure and emotion when reviewing memorable moments and typical activities during the past 5 years of the members of the delegation No.6 in 2016.

The love of the sea and islands and the national pride of overseas Vietnamese will continue to multiply and spread strongly among the overseas Vietnamese community./.
