Various activities to respond to Youth Month of Vietnam Field Hospital in South Sudan

Over the past month, under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4 in South Sudan has coordinated with the Women's group, the media organization, and the combat department to organize many meaningful and practical activities.

These activities aim to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26), and implement the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

To highlight the theme of Youth Month 2023 “Youth pioneer in digital transformation; Making merit, highlighting tradition", with the characteristics of working in a multicultural environment at the United Nations mission, the Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4 has organized activities to enhance the promotion of traditions and images of the Vietnamese culture, country and people to international friends, in which young people are the core force.

Some typical activities can be mentioned such as: participating in friendly sports with their partner teams, participating in mass mobilization activities to help local women on International Women's Day (March 8), participating in charity medical examination and treatment at Bentiu General Hospital in Unity State; practice, perform and introduce art performances imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity to the mission's staff; and participating in organizing Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) Week to introduce the image of Vietnamese women to friends from other countries.

In addition, the youth union members of the Level 2 Field Hospital No. 4 have also participated in many activities of building the unit and upgrading the environment such as organizing Sundays to collect garbage and waste, and "Green Saturday", in which youth union members actively participate in planting trees, building flower gardens and orchards on the hospital premises.

The action program has really created positive changes for the youth union members, contributing to encouraging and motivating young people to uphold their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, and complete well assigned tasks./.
