Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Huy Dung on March 7 visited and worked with the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA).

Receiving the Vietnamese Ambassador were Ambassador Mohamed El Oraby, President of the Council and former Foreign Minister; Ambassador Saad El Sayed, and CEO and Ambassador El Taify, former Egyptian Ambassador to Vietnam.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of Vietnam-Egypt relations in the fields of politics, economy, society, investment and so on.
ECFA leaders expressed their deep affection for the country and people of Vietnam, deep admiration for Vietnam's development achievements over the past time, and wished to learn more from the experiences in economic reform and ensuring food security in Vietnam.
The ECFA President said that he is willing to coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt to organize political and cultural events to contribute to promoting bilateral relations, and wishes to establish cooperative relations with major political and international research centers of Vietnam.
Established in 1999, ECFA has members including former Foreign Ministers, former Egyptian Ambassadors to countries, senior representatives from ministries and sectors in the Egyptian Government, army generals, scholars and leading enterprises./.
