Iran Daily newspaper, on April 18, published the article "Remembering Dien Bien Phu: A landmark victory in fight for Vietnamese independence" about the context, developments, causes and historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

In an interview with the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) about the Dien Bien Phu victory, Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy highlighted the preparation process and the 56-day historic campaign to help the audience understand more about the Dien Bien Phu victory.

He affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory is a victory of justice, passionate patriotism, indomitable and resilient will of the Vietnamese people, demonstrating the independent and creative resistance and military policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by President Ho Chi Minh.

The victory created the fundamental and decisive basis for the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Indochina, ending the domination of French colonialism, and beginning the process of collapse of colonialism worldwide.

Then, from May 8 to 18, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran participated in a booth at the 35th Tehran International Book Fair, which displayed books about President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap, Dien Bien Phu victory and many books in other genres such as history, diplomacy, culture, poetry and photo books.

The Vietnamese Embassy’s booth has the theme: "Dien Bien Phu - A Triumph that shook the world", which contributed to communicating about the Dien Bien Phu victory.

The Tehran International Book Fair is Iran's largest annual book fair, attracting the participation of hundreds of large and small publishers from Iran and many countries around the world. It is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese Embassy to promote the history, culture, country and people of Vietnam to Iranian and international readers.

The book fair this year attracts dozens of participating countries with over 50,000 books of all genres./.
