On August 18, T&T Group presented Can Tho City a package of medical equipment and supplies with a total value of over VND25 billion.

T&T Group's support package includes 200,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits worth over VND21 billion, 10,000 COVID-19 PCR test kits worth VND3 billion and 1,000 hospital beds worth VND1.15 billion.
In the face of complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the city, since August 9, Can Tho City has started a campaign to take samples to test for SARS-CoV-2 virus for more than 1.2 million people in all districts in the city.
Receiving the medical equipment, Duong Tan Hien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, appreciated the prompt support from the group, saying it was of great significance for the city’s testing.
T&T Group is known as one of the leading units accompanying the Government, the Ministry of Health and localities across the country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the first wave of the pandemic in early 2020, the group has contributed some VND600 billion to the fight against the pandemic, including medical devices and equipment, to frontline hospitals across the country.
Recently, T&T Group has been approved by the Government to negotiate and buy 40 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine from the Russian Federation with legal funds. This funding source is mobilized by T&T Group, not from the State budget or the Vietnam COVID-19 Vaccine Fund. Currently, the group is trying to negotiate with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) towards the successful signing of the contract as soon as possible./.
