The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a Decision recognizing Mui Ne tourist area in the central province of Binh Thuan as a national tourist area.

According to a plan approved by the Government, Mui Ne national tourist area is located on a coastal land strip from Hoa Phu commune in Tuy Phong district to the end of the boundary of Phu Hai ward in Phan Thiet city. It covers about 14,760 ha, of which the core area for the development and formation of a functional tourism area is about 1,000 ha.
The goal of the Mui Ne national tourist area focuses on perfecting the physical and technical tourism infrastructure system; meeting the criteria of national tourist area; attracting strategic investors to develop Mui Ne into an attractive destination. By 2030, the national tourist area will become one of the leading destinations in the Asia-Pacific.
Specifically, the area will have four main tourist subdivisions from coastal areas of Hoa Thang, Tuy Phong.
Binh Thuan expects to greet about 9 million tourists by 2025, including about 1.5 million foreign tourists. By 2030, the province hopes to welcome about 14 million tourists, in which 2.5 million are foreigners. Total tourism revenue will reach about VND24 trillion in 2025 and VND50 trillion in 2030./.
