A large number of local and foreign visitors enjoy tours exploring the headquarters of the People’s Committee and People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), a 114-year-old national architectural and artistic building.

According to the HCMC Department of Tourism, the tour has welcomed nearly 5,000 domestic and international visitors as of October 1. Especially, the number of foreign tourists participate in the trip has been increasing.
From now until December, visitors will not only have the chance to view some parts of the building and learn about the history, architectural highlights, and function of the building, but they will be able to visit several exhibitions on beautiful landscapes. In addition, the exhibit will showcase the friendliness of local people through unique images.
To visit the building, local people and visitors can register a tour at a travel agent, the website www.visithcmc.vn, or by scanning the QR code.
The headquarters of the HCMC People’s Committee was built from 1898 to 1909 and was designed by the French architect Femand Gardès, drawing inspiration from the bell tower style in Northern France. Since 1975, the building has been the workplace of the HCMC People’s Committee.
The HCMC People’s Committee Building was first recognized as a national architectural relic in 2020./.
