The move aims to exploit and promote the strengths and potentials of the relic in association with key local tourism and service programs.
According to this project, in 2021, Thua Thien-Hue will build and put into practice suitable tourism products, such as tours to President Ho Chi Minh’s memorial monuments combined with cultural and historical relics and local tourism products; and organize experience activities and develop cultural services at monuments that are expected to be put into operation from 2022.
As planned, by 2025, the system of monuments commemorating President Ho Chi Minh in Thua Thien-Hue will be basically restored and completely embellished. The Ho Chi Minh Museum in the central province will be renewed, becoming an attractive tourist attraction.
The provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Tourism and the Department of Culture and Sports to develop the tour “Following Uncle Ho’s footsteps in his childhood in Hue” and promote the tourism product to visitors.
The provincial cultural sector has also actively cooperated with units to organize activities to learn, discover, experience, show documentary films at museums and memorial monuments about President Ho Chi Minh and organize a contest to create souvenir samples about President Ho Chi Minh in the locality.
According to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the country now has 663 relics and places of Uncle Ho’s memorial relics in 27 provinces and cities. Particularly, in Thua Thien-Hue, there are about 20 relics and sites about Uncle Ho, or directly related to his family./.
