According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Tourism, the program aims to provide the most up-to-date information about Vietnamese tourismp roducts and services.

The roadshow will help to create opportunities specifically for Vietnamese travel businesses to meet their Australian partners, including outbound tour operators, travel agencies, MICE operators, and media to share and discuss tourism cooperation possibilities.

The event will be organised at The Jackson Sydney Harbor Luxury Cruise and Darling Harbour in Sydney on May 12, Crown Promenade Melbourne Hotel on May 15, and in Brisbane on May 17.

The roadshow has the participation of nearly 200 Australian delegates and 20 Vietnamese representatives from national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, and travel agencies.

At the roadshow, participants will take part in a wide range of activities such as collecting special publications and gifts from Vietnamese tourist destinations, drawing on Non La (palm-leaf conical hats), making To He (figurine toy), and enjoying performances put on by ethnic musical instruments such as Dan Bau, Dan Tranh, and Dan T-rung.

In addition, festival and cultural activities in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023, as well as new tourism products and services, will be introduced to visitors at the event.

According to Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Vietnam is among the top 10 favourite destinations for Australian tourists, behind some regular destinations including New Zealand, Indonesia, the United States, and the UK.

Vietnam Airlines is operating direct air routes to the majority of the other nine destinations that Australians visit the most, such as the US, the UK, India, and Indonesia, helping Australian travelers be easier to travel from Vietnam to the other popular tourist destinations worldwide./.
