Cam Pha city on the path of development

Cam Pha city of the northern province of Quang Ninh is seeing positive changes toward become a modern industrialized city, contributing to boosting the common development of the province.

To exploit the strengths of coal, sea ports and tourism, the city has devoted resources, giving priority to building the social and technical infrastructure, and increasing urban management capacity. The city has focused on building public works, ensuring social welfare and increasing people’s living standards.

As planned, Cam Pha city set a target to collect VND1 trillion to the State budget in 2013. So far, VND700 billion have been collected, accounting for 70% of the year’s target and a year-on-year increase of 16%.

In addition, the city is creating favourable conditions to attract investors, efficiently realising the directions and resolutions from the central level, and maintaining high and sustainable economic growth.

Speaking with Quang Ninh Radio and Television Broadcasting Station (QTV), Nguyen Trong Minh, Chairman of the city People’s Committee, said that in the upcoming time, the city will accelerate industrial and tourism development to raise people’s living standards while completing the city socio-economic development plan until 2020 with vision to 2030, and human resource planning to serve development in the future./.
