By the third quarter of 2013, total state budget revenue in Quang Ninh reached more than VND22.8 trillion, 67 percent of the year’s estimates and a year-on-year rise of 8 percent, according the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.
Specifically, revenue related to export and import activities posted VND12.8 trillion, 68 percent of the year’s estimate, up 10 percent in comparison to the same period last year, while total local revenue was more than VND9.7 trillion, 67 percent of the year’s estimate and up 5 percent.
Some local revenue items saw sharp growth such as non-state tax (up 40 percent), registration tax (up 4 percent), agricultural land use tax (up 29 percent) and housing tax (up 82 percent).
Mr. Tran Duc Lam, Director of the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Planning and Investment said that the state budge revenue increase was thanks to tax extending reduction on some revenues in accordance with Resolution 13/NQ-CP on measures to resolve difficulties for business production and supporting the market./.
