International opinion continues to hail the APEC 2017 Summit Week in the central coastal city of Da Nang in Vietnam.

Big Kuwaiti news outlets in English like Kuwait Times, Arab Times, the Times Kuwait, and those in Arabic like Alari and Aljarida Alanbaa Ah, ran articles about the significant event, especially highly applauding the host Vietnam as well as its achievements in recent times, while asserting that Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in the region with an increasing export industry.
The articles underlined APEC economic leaders’ calling upon common vision and concentrated action to maintain APEC as a driving force for growth and integration, a nursery garden of cooperative ideas and mechanism for free trade agreements.
Opinion of the press and diplomatic corps of Kuwait had positive appraisal about the summit, the host Vietnam and the success of Vietnam’s diplomacy.
Meanwhile, with the title “A new horizon for Asia-Pacific trade”, Singapore’s New Straits Times said the event brought optimism for economies in the region on the threshold the New Year of 2018.
The leaders have taken important steps to link ideas to facilitate trade among APEC economies for the common goal of promoting growth and creating jobs.
According to authors, leaders across the Asia-Pacific agreed to put people and enterprises at the centre, to face the challenges from the complex situation regionally and globally./.
