Lang Son recognizes Dong Dang International Railway Station as tourist site

The Dong Dang International Railway Station in Cao Loc district, the northern border province of Lang Son, was recognized as a tourist site in a ceremony held on July 8th.

The international railway route runs
from Vietnam through Dong Dang station to China; from here it is possible to travel to other countries. The train station is connected with Pingxiang railway station in China’s Guangxi province.
On February 26th, 2019, the station welcomed the train carrying Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un for his five-day stay in Vietnam for the second DPRK-USA Summit and the official friendship visit to the Southeast Asian nation.
With the historical significance, scale and stature of these international political events; on May 27th, 2019, the Chairman of the Lang Son provincial People’s Committee issued a decision recognizing the Dong Dang International Railway Station as a tourist site.
Deputy Chairman of the Lang Son People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen stressed that the recognition of the station as a tourist site is expected to contribute to diversifying tourism products of Cao Loc district in particular and Lang Son province in general./.
