A contract, part of a project on increasing safety on the North-South railway, was inked between the Vietnam Railway Corporation and a group of contractors in Hanoi on Feb. 9.
Under the contract, Tekken, Yokogawa, Thang Long and Marubeni will undertake the building of 10 bridges on the railway linking the capital city of Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City, and other supporting infrastructure projects.
It is expected that the contract will be carried out on April 1 and finished after 30 months.
The project is jointly funded by the Japanese Government’s Official Development Assistance and Vietnam’s state budget. It includes 44 bridges, a railway station and other relevant construction projects.
