Credit in Ho Chi Minh City rises 0.37%

Outstanding credit balance decreased by 0.48% in January and rebounded, estimated at 0.85% in February, according to the State Bank of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City branch.

Generally, in the first two months of 2023, loan growth rate in the city increased by 0.37%, down from 3.54% in the same period last year.

The branch said that since early 2023, credit institutions in the city have provided credit support to businesses, cooperatives and business households with a turnover of 469 trillion VND.

On February 28, the branch will organize a conference to connect banks with businesses with the theme of the banking industry accompanying, supporting and solving difficulties for businesses.

The conference will be attended by 400 businesses and business households in the city.

It is expected to include two main contents: a dialogue and a loan signing to help credit institutions implement policies and disburse preferential credit packages, enhance dialogue, and remove difficulties for businesses./.
