The country saw 15,400 enterprises established and 5,600 enterprises resuming operation in October, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

GSO said that the newly-established enterprises had registered capital of nearly 126 trillion VND, up 7.4%, and 132,000 jobs were created, up 64.3%.
The average registered capital of a newly-established enterprise in October reached 8.2 billion VND, down 11.7% compared to September and down 0.6% from the same period in 2022.
In addition, the economy received 5,600 enterprises resuming operation, down 3.1% compared to September and up 44.2% from the same period last year.
In the first 10 months, the country had 131,800 newly-established enterprises with a registered capital of nearly 1.2 quadrillion VND. The total number of registered workers was 880,000. The average registered capital of a newly-established enterprise in October reached 9.2 billion VND, down 16% year on year.
In the 10 months, nearly 2.9 quadrillion VND was added to the economy, down 31.4% from the same period last year.
During the period, the economy recorded 5,500 businesses registering to temporarily suspend their operation, up 33.4% compared to September and up 35.6% over the same period last year.
Businesses temporarily suspending business numbered 81,000, up 22.1% over the same period last year. Accordingly, an average of 14,700 businesses withdraw from the market each month./.
