As a result, over the past 20 years, preferential credit has helped more than 185,000 poor households pass the poverty line, making an important contribution to the implementation of the sustainable poverty reduction target program and new-style rural construction in the locality.

In her speech at the event, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Party Committee, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Thi Quynh Van emphasized that social policy credit activities over the past time have helped the poor and policy beneficiaries to overcome the shortage of capital for production and business, create jobs, increase incomes, and escape poverty sustainably.

Aiming to continue to better implement Decree 78 of the Government in the new period, she suggested that every year, the People’s Councils and People’s Committees at province and district-level should allocate part of the local budget to supplement capital sources to entrust through the Vietnam Social Bank for Policies (VBSP) in the province to offer loans for policy beneficiaries.
