International TECHFEST in Melbourne, Australia will be held on September 20 at Monash University, with the participation of Vietnamese Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Minister of Treasury - Trade - Investment - Industrial Relations of Victoria (Australia) Tim Pallas; Vietnam Science and Technology Representative Office in Canberra, together with more than 100 prestigious experts, investors, investment funds, and startup support organizations from the two countries.
At this event, a number of innovative startups that have achieved high results at the Startup Talent Search competition within the national TECHFEST framework will have the opportunity to pitch to venture capital funds of Australia such as Magic Edutech Group PTY LTD, Cyberkid, VSEC, Hana Gold and Treeotek.
In addition, creative start-up management agencies, units operating start-up support programs and many supporting organizations will have the opportunity to exchange experiences to improve the quality of their activities. This initiative also creates a favorable international connection environment for innovative startups of the two countries.
International TECHFEST in Australia will be held on the occasion of the delegation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Minister Huynh Thanh Dat, participating in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2023 (GEC).
GEC is an event organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, gathering thousands of delegates and senior leaders from more than 170 countries to connect, learn and share experiences, thereby creating a unified and strong global innovation startup ecosystem.
From these two important events, the Ministry of Science and Technology wishes to introduce the Vietnamese dynamic and open innovation startup ecosystem to attract international attention and resources, in which overseas Vietnamese are an extremely important element.
It also affirms that Vietnam is ready to participate responsibly to bring innovative solutions to solve economic, social, and sustainable development problems in countries around the world; and encourage experts and international enterprises that develop markets and coordinate with domestic enterprises to solve problems in Vietnam.
Since 2019, organizing international TECHFEST in countries with developed innovation ecosystems is an important direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology with the goal of promoting innovative ecosystems and startups to the world, while attracting financial resources and experts from investment funds and support organizations of other countries. International TECHFEST has been held in countries such as the US, the Republic of Korea and Singapore./.
