The famous travel site CnTraveler has listed Ho Chi Minh city among the 50 most beautiful cities in the world.

The criteria given to rate cities for the list varied widely to include: art and architecture, water views and mountain highs, and people and history.
According to the site, the beauty of Ho Chi Minh city is in its contrasts. New office towers sparkle alongside ornate temples and stone citadels, remnants of a fraught colonial history.
Ranked at 48th, the southern hub was described with a never-ending labyrinth of alleys, the seemingly infinite flow of motorcycles through its streets and the sensory overload of roadside food stalls.
Italy’s Venice topped the list with its interlacing transport system. “Even visitors with a GPS-like sense of direction will likely be bested by the meandering streets of the city. There's no better way to explore the lovely maze than in a haze of mild confusion.”
Following it in the Top 10 cities are Hong Kong (China), Istanbul (Turkey), New York (the US), Chefchaouen (Morocco), Paris (France), Cape Town (South Africa), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), St. Petersburg, (Russia), and Beirut (Lebanon)./.
