Hoi An city in the central coastal province of Quang Nam has been named among the seven most affordable destinations, as voted by Travel & Leisure readers.

The travel guides website placed Hoi An at the third spot, with a total cost of a week for two travellers being USD2,684. The city was a fishing port from the 15
th century. Today, the coastal town has historical sites and pristine, white-sand beaches.
“Among the many historical sites in Hoi An is the breathtaking Japanese Covered Bridge, built in the 16th century. Walking across the bridge is free, although there is a small fee to access the museum on the north side of the structure,” notes the website.
Notably, Hoi An Kayak offers a half-day tour (starting at USD45 per person) to Cam Thanh Village, where travellers meet bamboo craftsman and share a home-cooked meal with a local family.
Other rankings that made the list are Oaxaca (Mexico), Xi'an (China), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Kraków (Poland), Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt), and Sofia (Bulgaria)./.
