Female Vietnamese Doctor among top 100 scientists in Asia

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Kim Phung is one of Asia's top three agricultural scientists, as chosen by the Asian Scientist magazine.

With research focusing on generating biofuels from agricultural waste such as oil from rubber seed, coffee beans or fruits, she won the ASEAN-US Science Prize in 2016 and has been voted as one of the top 100 scientists in Asia by the famous Asian Scientist magazine.
In particular, Ms. Phung (from Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology) appeared on the list of leading scientists in the field of agricultural science. Two other scientists from Indonesia and China have also been in the list.
Asian Scientist is a prestigious science magazine of Singapore. This is the second year the magazine has published its list of the 100 top Asian scientists. In 2016, Vietnam had two female scientists in this ranking: Dr. Tran Lien Ha Phuong from International University - Vietnam National University (VNU-HCMC) and Dr. Dang Thi Oanh from University of Information and Communication Technology - Thai Nguyen University./.
