Vietnam has recorded 331 coronavirus cases so far with more than 95% fully recovering and no deaths reported.

The announcement was made by Forbes after the country has only recorded 331 COVID-19 cases, along with going 53 consecutive days with no new locally transmitted infections.

Of the total, 316 cases have gone on to make a full recovery, 95.5% of the overall figure, while no deaths have been reported.

At present, the remaining 15 cases are all receiving treatment at medical facilities that are either centrally or locally run, with the majority of patients enjoying a stable health condition.

Overall, Forbes lists Switzerland as the safest country in the world right now in terms of being protected against the COVID-19.

“Switzerland and Germany achieve the number one and number two positions in this new special case study specifically because of their economy’s resilience, and due to the careful ways in which they are attempting to relax lockdown and economic freezing mandates in a fact and science-based manner, without sacrificing public health and safety,” the study notes.

The list’s top 10 are made up of Israel, Singapore, Japan, Austria, China, Australia, New Zealand, and the Republic of Korea.

With the country being placed in 20th position, it sits just behind Hungary and the Netherlands, while being followed by Kuwait and Iceland.

The United States can be found way down at 58th in the rankings, just behind Romania, and two places ahead of Russia.

The report is based on 130 quantitative and qualitative parameters and over 11,400 data points that have been awarded in categories such as quarantine efficiency, monitoring and detection, health readiness, and government efficiency.

The list was compiled by the Deep Knowledge Group, a consortium of companies and nonprofits owned by Deep Knowledge Ventures, an investment firm that was originally founded in Hong Kong (China) back in 2014./.
