In a recent meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, he said that Vietnam had done well in the fight against COVID-19, becoming an outstanding model on successful control over the pandemic.

The media reported that Israel was the first country in the world to impose a second 3-week blockade due to the sharp increase in the number of infections and deaths caused by COVID-19. During the blockade, all restaurants, shops and entertainment facilities were closed. Schools were also closed and residents were not allowed to leave their homes within a radius of more than 500 meters. Supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential stores are allowed to open.

Recently, Israeli media praised Vietnam as the bright star of Asia. According to the Jerusalem Post, thanks to the quick and effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's economic recovery prospects are still the most positive and "brightest" among Asian countries, despite the inevitable impact of global economic recession.

The Jerusalem Post newspaper said that if Vietnam achieves the goal of maintaining economic growth in the context of a pandemic, Vietnam can defend its position as the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, similar to becoming a leading country in the region on controlling COVID-19.

Jerusalem Post concluded that Israel was actively seeking partnerships in the fields of economy, politics, culture and military with countries in Southeast Asian and the relations with Vietnam are on the way of development in particular. Under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy, Vietnam is emerging as an important partner of Israel.

Forbes Israeli version assessed that although Vietnam's economy was affected by COVID-19, it was still one of the brightest economies in Southeast Asia. The article called impressive Vietnam's efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). Accordingly, Vietnam aims to attract USD35-36 billion in FDI this year./.
