Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach, born in 1984, from the Hanoi Medical University, was named as the winner in the Shining Star Achievement in Research category.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach obtained his doctorate from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2011 and was an expert in health economics at the Institute of Health Economics, Canada, in 2013. In 2014, he became a research member of the Johns Hopkins University’s International Association for AIDS Research.
Since 2015, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach co-chaired the Global Health Innovation Network to promote innovation, research and publications towards sustainable health. He was elected to the Executive Council of the Young Global Academy of Sciences, under the German National Academy (Leopoldina) in 2018.
In 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach was appointed as Professor by Johns Hopkins University. He is also one of the youngest professors of this prestigious university.
Among the top 100,000 scientists in the world with the most citations published by PLoS Biology magazine, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach was listed as one of the 3 Vietnamese scientists.
He regularly publishes more than 300 articles in highly regarded international journals on global health science.
The second person honored to receive the award is Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Ly, born 1975, working at the Faculty of Arts and Education, Deakin University, Australia. Before that, she was a lecturer at Hue University.

Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Ly has many studies related to Vietnam, especially the content of Vietnamese higher education innovation from an international perspective; the correlation between the higher education program and the labor market; new graduates' ability to work; and the internationalization of Vietnam's higher education.
During her career of scientific research and teaching, she has won more than 30 awards and research scholarships from international and national associations for outstanding achievements.
