The Pasaxon (People) newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, published on the front page the article "The Chairman of the Lao NA pays an official friendship visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam". The article reviewed the activities on December 6 by NA Chairwoman Xaysomphone Phomvihane, from the solemn official welcome ceremony chaired by Vietnamese NA Chairwoman Vuong Dinh Hue to issues discussed and agreed upon by leaders of the two NA in order to further strengthen and tighten the relationship between the two NAs.
According to Pasaxon newspaper, on the first working day within the framework of his visit to Vietnam from December 6-8, the Lao NA President also attended the NA workshop of the two countries, exchanging experiences on Q&A activities at the Vietnamese NA in considering and deciding on important projects.
Reviewing the activities of NA Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane, the Vientiane Times published an article appreciating the cooperation between the National Assembly of Laos and Vietnam, emphasizing that this is the first foreign trip by Nr. Xaysomphone since he was elected Lao NA Chairman earlier this year. According to the article, at the bilateral talks held on December 6, the Lao and Vietnamese NA Chairmen highly appreciated the increasingly consolidated cooperation between the two NAs.
PathetLao Daily on the same day solemnly published on the front page news about the visit of NA Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane to Vietnam and an article titled "Laos - Vietnam continue to strengthen cooperation ties between the two NAs”.
According to the article, the fact that Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane chose Vietnam as the first country to visit after being elected as the Lao NA Chairman once again demonstrated the special nature of the relationship between the two countries. The article emphasized that over the past time, although the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected all aspects of life, the cooperation relationship between the two NAs has been still very close and increasingly practical. Most notably, the Vietnamese NA has actively supported and assisted the Lao NA in organizing, implementing, monitoring and inspecting the construction project of the new Lao NA Building - a gift from the Vietnamese Party, State and people for the Lao Party, State and people, and a symbol of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two Government, the two NAs and the two peoples.
