The campaign is part of welcoming the 50th anniversary of the province.
So far it has mobilised over VND120 million for the project, with the largest amount of money coming from the union’s branches in Ha Long city, Quang Yen town, the provincial police and the club forwarding border and island areas.
The project to bring power to Co To Island district, capitalised with more than VND1 trillion, is expected to be completed by mid-October. It holds great political and economic significance for the sea and islands in Vietnam's northeastern area, improving local residents’ spiritual and material lives, contributing to protecting the nation’s seas and islands sovereignty./.
