Quang Ninh province increases quarantine on food quality at year-end

During the final months of the year, apart from the stabilization of prices and ensuring the supply of goods, the northern province of Quang Ninh is also increasing the quarantine over quality of food to ensure customers’ health.

Statistics from the provincial food safety department show that there are 15,310 foundations producing, processing and doing business on food.

According to the department, 80% of the food foundations have been tested and satisfied food safety requirements.

Violations have been punished as regulated in laws. Since the beginning of the year, 3,298 foundations have been punished, thus contributing to raising food shop owners’ awareness of food safety and encouraging them to ensure health for the community.

The department has also said that increased inspections on food safety will be carried out from now until the end of the year, in order to promptly detect food safety violations and ensure customers’ health.

In the upcoming time, the medical sector has also planned to increase food foundations with a focus on food at markets and food shops, and increased education on food safety and the responsibility of authorities, producers, traders and customers on food safety./.
